About me

          My name is James Dinsmore and I work out of Sound Wellness at Smyth Landing with various other health and wellness practitioners. I specialize in sports massage, injury treatment and deeper tissue work, but have been trained in various types of massage modalities, techniques, and various adjuncts to support your health and wellness. Some of these techniques and adjuncts include: customized therapeutic grade essential oil treatments (natural medicine), reiki, Clinical infrared/light therapy treatements, myofascial release work, hot stone treatments, cupping, sports massage, pre-natal massage, some thai massage, certified in Washington state for intra-oral therapy, cranial\sacral work, rahabilitative (injury) treatment, and Lomi Lomi techniques. Being able to use multiple modalities and techniques is beneficial in customizing my massage treatments to the individual needs of every client. My goals with each client are to stimulate the clients’ bodies and minds towards health, wellness, and balance within their own bodies. I graduated from Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy and Massage (at Olympia’s Capitol Medical Center) in 2003. I am also a Registered Nurse that believes taking a holistic approach in health care is the best approach and I am focused on integrative medicine, rather then just a westernized medicine approach, because I believe we need both for optimum health & wellness. In my free time I like to enjoy the great outdoors, listening to music, surfing, eating good food, keeping myself healthy, always learning, and I'm always working towards harmony and balance on my journey.
